Joao Rosmaninho (Lisbon, 1979) holds a BA in Architecture (2004), a MSc in Communication Sciences (2009), and a PhD in Architectural Culture (2017).
He is faculty staff at the University of Minho-School of Architecture (since 2002) with a research position at its R&D unit (since 2017). Joao was also senior architect at the UM-School of Architecture’s Centro de Estudos (2009-2010).
Joao’s main field of research focuses on the links between fiction and architecture, about which he has published several articles (since 2003) and has presented various communications (since 2005). He was also researcher on the project “Ruptura Silenciosa: Intersecções entre Arquitectura e Cinema” that run at University of Porto (2012-2013), visiting fellow at Harvard University (2013), and visiting research student at University College London (2014).
Joao is father (since 2016) of a gorgeous girl named Luisa.
