The School of Architecture, Art and Design (EAAD) announces the Doctoral Examinations in Architecture, specialising in City and Territory, requested by Master Teresa Filipa de Assis Caldeira Cruz Corais, to be held on 5 December 2025, at 2:30 p.m., in auditorium 1, building 9 (EAAD), on the Azurém Campus of UMinho.
Filipa Corais will defend her thesis entitled ‘The City “Walking” towards 2050. Braga as a Laboratory for a Resilient and Sustainable Urban System’.

- Paulo Jorge de Sousa Cruz, Full Professor and President of the Scientific Council of EAAD, who presides;
- Teresa Manuel de Almeida Cálix Augusto, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto;

A round table discussion on the theme ‘Seeing through Drawing: the most distinguished wisdom, by Vítor Murtinho’ will take place on 3 December at 4 pm at the Nuno Portas Library.
In memory of Prof. Dr. Vítor Murtinho (1964-2025) and with reference to his recently published book, ‘The Most Distinct Wisdom - The representation of place in the Renaissance,’ the Nuno Portas Library brings together a group of professors from the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho for a conversation in which they will address some aspects of the evolution of perspective drawing and geometry in architectural thought, particularly in the Renaissance of the 15th and 16th centuries, in connection with the book and work of Dr. Vítor Murtinho.
