Garagem Avenida - Guimarães
The meeting (entre)folhas: Artist Publications will
take place on March 9, 10 and 11 at Garagem Avenida, Guimarães. This meeting
has three distinct moments: Expository Moment - with exhibitions and
presentations on the theme; Experimental Moment - creative workshop; and
Sharing Moment - Publications Fair.
This meeting is preferably intended for EAAD UM
students, but is open to the general public (subject to prior registration via
email encontroentrefolhas@gmail.com).
Day 9 - Expository Moment
09:30 am to 1 pm
Presentations on Artists' Publications
We invite artists who make artists' publications to
present their experience and relevant projects, and students from the Visual
Arts Undergraduate course to present projects for books or artists'
publications developed in the course.
If you wish to present a project, you must send an
email, until February 26th, to encontroentrefolhas@gmail.com
with the subject: I want to present a project! With your full name, phone
number, student/course number or profession, and the title of your project.
Day 10 - Experimental Moment
10am to 5pm
The creative workshop "Experiment with
Publishing" proposes to produce a collective artistic publication and will
be divided in two parts: printing with different techniques (stamps, stencil,
monotype and photocopy) and final graphic production (editing, reproduction,
assembly and binding).
If you wish to participate in the workshop, you must
send an email, by March 4th, to encontroentrefolhas@gmail.com
with the subject: I want to take part in the workshop!
With your full name, phone number, and student/course
or profession number.
*The workshop has a cost of 4 euros for the purchase
of materials.
day 11 - Moment of Sharing
10am to 7pm
Publication Fair open to all artists who wish to
exhibit and sell artist publications and to all the public who wish to visit
and learn about the event.
If you wish to be an exhibitor and have a table at the
fair, you must send an email, until February 26, to encontroentrefolhas@gmail.com
with the subject: I want to participate in the fair!
With your full name, phone number, and student/course
or profession number.
*Participation in the fair as an exhibitor costs 2
euros for students and 4 euros for the community in general. Each table
measures 70x60cm.
