                NADA NOVO
is a non-profit association (2023) that promotes the reuse of building
components and materials and explores the cultural and technical challenges of
their application. Taking a transdisciplinary approach, it develops
participatory, open and inclusive activities focused on reuse in the context of
the climate crisis, such as artistic creations (FÓRUM NADA NOVO 2024-),
research, publications (INTERMÉDIOS Series 2025-), exhibitions and workshops
(Peças Desgarradas, Peças Resgatadas, Mini-Oficinas, 2024; Mini-Ciclos, 2025),
experimental construction (Morabeza, with RAM, 2025; Ar d’Jazz, 2025), training
and open classes (FAUL, FBAUP, ACE, DOMUS Social, EAAD-UM, FAUP, ESALA), design
and architecture festivals (Gentler Futures, Torre Aberta, ‘The next step is
circular’ 2024) and technical collaboration. Establish partnerships and
collaborations with institutions (local, national and international) linked to
culture (galleries, museums, cultural associations, schools, artisans), the
arts (visual, performing and music), the social economy (IPSS and public
entities), industry (architecture and engineering firms, construction and
demolition companies, suppliers of used materials), the circular economy
(networks and public entities) and academia (architecture and engineering
schools, research laboratories).
