EAAD - Campus de Azurém - auditório 1
The
next session of the UC Convida lecture series, titled “Em Construção”
(Under Construction) and part of the Introduction to Construction course, will
feature Diogo Aguiar Studio.
The session will take place on April 7, at 4:00 PM,
in Auditorium 1 at the Campus de Azurém, in Guimarães.
This lecture will focus on timber construction,
exploring its potential in contemporary architecture as a structural system,
tectonic expression, and sustainable resource. “Em Construção” is a series of
case-study presentations within a real-world architectural context, promoting a
critical perspective on how construction decisions — materials, systems, and
processes — shape space, comfort, performance, and environmental impact.
