Following the 2023 and 2024 editions, the 2026 iteration expands the discussion by introducing a thematic focus centered on the relationships between art, archive, history, territory, landscape, and ecology. The main goal is to reflect on how these dimensions inform the modes of production, circulation, and autonomy of contemporary artists in the face of ongoing social and environmental transformations.
The seminar is integrated into the activities of Lab2PT (Landscape, Heritage and Territory Laboratory) and stems from an institutional partnership with LIDA (Design and Arts Research Laboratory) of ESAD.CR – School of Arts and Design of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. The scientific coordination is led by Susana Gaudêncio and Flávia Vieira (EAAD/Lab2PT), alongside Lígia Afonso, Carla Cardoso, and Ana Anacleto (ESAD.CR-ULO/LIDA).
The event is jointly organized by the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho (EAAD), Lab2PT, LIDA, and ESAD.CR — University of Leiria and West.
