EAUM welcomes, on
November 6 at 14h30, Miguel Veríssimo delivering the lecture #83
entitled “A Ecologia da Arquitetura: da Linha ao Círculo.
As society demands a new stage of
sustainable development, the creation of a new ethic and aesthetics for
"the house", "the city" and "the territory" is
also needed. Miguel Veríssimo visits EAUM in order to talk about the
relationship between architecture and ecology developing some approaches
regarding the ideological, technical and economic issues.
Miguel Veríssimo was a student and
collaborator of Carrilho da Graça and Manuel Vicente. In 1994, he attended the
"Daylight in Architecture" (U.C.Dublin) workshop on the energy and
environmental efficiency of architecture. In 1999, he created the company
Armadilha Solar - Arquitectura, under the NET incubator - Porto
Between 2005 and 2007, he developed the
JEE - Eco-Efficient Window project, with the UMinho LFTC, a patent that won the
2007 National Innovation Award for energy. Between 2010 and 2012, he
collaborated for the development of the strategic vision for the eco-efficiency
of the company Mota Engil. In 2017, he won the Green Project Awards Honorable
Mention with the MUSCLE project. Most recently, he collaborated on the Space on
Wheels project, developed together with INEGI (automotive) and IPN (functions).
