The exhibition "Sombra Eléctrica 0717" by Paulo Freire de Almeida, is held at the EAUM Museum from April 13th to June 1st 2018.
“Sombra Eléctrica 0717”
initiated as a series of exercises carried out in 2007, from the observation
around tonal drawing processes. Subsequently the interest in the technical
process led to a graphic chronicle about the common and nearby landscape. This
exhibition brings together drawings from the period between 2007 and 2017,
highlighting the set of designs carried out during the gap year, which occupied
much of 2016.
Paulo Freire de Almeida
is professor of Drawing at the School of Architecture of the University of
Minho since 1997, where he hold his PhD in 2008. He is a researcher at Lab2PT. He developed the series "Sombra Eléctrica" since 2007, regularly
publishing his drawings in the blog sombraelectrica.blogspot.pt.
