Description

The Drawing Initiation Course, aimed at a wide audience, interested in Drawing, is organised in three modules: Module 1 - Object (Empty/empty, light/dark, Proportions, Shape, Colour/Colour Theory) Through direct observation of three-dimensional models, apply techniques and methods of representation for expressive communication through dry erase markers. In this module concepts such as full/empty, light/dark, relationship in proportions, shape studies and colour theory are covered.  Module 2 - Space (Perspective, Scales/axes/inclinations, Proportions, Light, Atmospheric Perspective) - Through direct observation of architectural models (closed and open contexts), study in the representation supported in the perspective, applying notions of scale and proportion. In the final phase of the module, concepts of light and atmospheric perspective are approached and applied.  Module 3 - Human figure/Movement (Anatomy, Shape, Proportions, Movement, Colour/Chromatic Palette) - Through direct observation of live model, study of human anatomy and movement. Application of the chromatic palette in the mimetic representation of the model.

Couse objectives

This course of initiation to Drawing approaches different techniques, materials and processes, based on the idea that drawing is a graphic expression that seeks its matrix in the observation of reality. The free drawing course is divided by study themes - Object, Space and Human Figure/movement - developed through the see-understand-draw process with different themes and/or contexts.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student should be able to understand complexity through direct observation of various three-dimensional models; Understand and apply with dry scribers ideas such as empty/full and light/dark; Stimulate visual perception through shape studies; Know the chromatic grammar from the colour theory; Have the ability to represent space having as model architectural spaces; Perception of space through the perspective, using different scales, axes and slopes; Notions of proportion developed; Representation of different atmospheric perspectives; Have the ability in the representation and study of human anatomy, gestures and movements; Develop the expressive line; Recognition of movement through gestural drawing; Develop the chromatic palette.
