Description
This course is proposed for professionals and practitioners of the performing arts, namely theatre, but also to everyone interested in the area. It proposes, in a set of post-labour sessions, combining the explanation and discussion of the subject, to construct a general and transdisciplinary view of the evolution of the scenography and the spaces of representation, from the invention of the perspective in the Renaissance to the trends of today's art. The course will approach to the professional practice. This contact with the scenography universe will culminate with an intensive exercise of practical nature.

General objectives

  • Acquire a generic cultural base for the consideration of scenography, understood as a crossing territory between architecture, performing arts and visual arts;
  • Acquire generic knowledge related to the instruments of the practice of scenography in its various aspects;
  • Experiment with set design as part of a simple practical exercise.

Learning Objectives

  • To know the key figures and moments that support the contemporary understanding of scenography;
  • To recognize the visual and dramaturgical areas involved in the scenographic conception;
